Tasks.AI is a browser assistant. You describe a task in plain language and it carries it out in your own browser tabs — reading pages, filling fields and clicking, on your behalf.

Doing that means it sees the pages you point it at. This page explains exactly what that involves, because "an AI assistant for your browser" is not a description anyone should have to take on trust.

1. What we collect

Your account. Your email address and name, from Google sign-in. That is the whole account.

What you ask for. The instructions you type, and the conversation around them.

The pages a task touches. To act on a page, Tasks.AI reads it: its text, its structure, the labels on its buttons and fields, and its URL. This happens only for tabs a task is actually working in — not your browsing generally, not tabs you have open for other reasons.

A record of what it did. Each run keeps a trace: the pages visited, the actions taken, and the result. This is what lets you see why the assistant did what it did, and what a task can be replayed from.

Recordings, if you make one. If you record yourself doing something so it can be turned into a repeatable task, that recording — including audio if you narrate it — is uploaded and processed.

What we do not collect: your browsing history outside a task, your passwords, your cookies, or the contents of tabs the assistant is not working in.

2. Why

To do what you asked. That is the only purpose. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

3. Who else sees it

Model providers. Understanding a page requires sending its content to a language model. We route through OpenRouter, which forwards the request to a provider that serves the model.

We use open-weight models — openly published rather than proprietary, so they are not a black box we cannot reason about and not tied to one vendor.

Each provider handles requests under its own data policy, which OpenRouter publishes per provider. We do not send them anything beyond what a task needs to be carried out.

Infrastructure. Amazon Web Services, in the United States, where our servers and database run.

That is the complete list. No analytics, no advertising networks, no data brokers.

4. Where it is stored

On our servers in the United States (AWS, us-east-1). If you are outside the US, using Tasks.AI means your data is processed there.

5. How long we keep it

Plainly: we keep it while your account exists. We do not currently expire old runs or conversations automatically. The one exception is the short-lived cache described in §6, which expires after 24 hours.

Ask us and we will delete it. Email contact@tasks.ai and we will delete your account and everything associated with it within 30 days. During beta this is a person doing it, not a button — which is why we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

6. What the assistant learns, and who it is shared with

When a task succeeds on a site nobody has documented, Tasks.AI writes a short note about how that site works — where its search box is, what its buttons are called. This makes the next task on that site faster.

Three limits on that:

• It is about the site, not about you. Values you typed into fields are replaced with a placeholder before the note is written.
• It stays inside your organisation. A note derived from your session is reused only by people in your own account. It never crosses into another customer's.
• It expires after 24 hours and is regenerated from scratch.

7. Your choices

• Which sites. The assistant only acts in tabs where you have given it a task. Chrome also lets you restrict the extension's site access from chrome://extensions.
• Ask before acting. In Ask mode the assistant confirms with you before doing anything that changes something.
• Your data. Email contact@tasks.ai to get a copy of your data or have it deleted. If you are in the EU or California you have rights over your personal data under GDPR or the CCPA respectively; we will honour those requests regardless of where you live.

8. Beta

Tasks.AI is in beta and changes quickly. If we change this policy in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will say so here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use it after that means you accept the change.
